Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Farmington Hills, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Michigan run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–3 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (248) 536-2650. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, tawaindiancuisine.com.

This was an absolutely terrible experience. We ordered the Mixed Mandi for $49.99, expecting a proper, fresh and satisfying platter. What we received was nowhere close to what you would expect for almost $50. 2 chicken wings, 2 kebabs, one huge nalli piece and some other so-called β€œspecial” items seriously, this is $49.99? The worst part was the smell of the meat. The nalli piece had such a strong, strange and unpleasant odor that we immediately lost our appetite. I genuinely felt like I was going to throw up. I cannot say what type of meat it was, but the smell and taste were extremely unpleasant to us. Some of the food also felt undercooked, and we simply could not continue eating. Look at the pictures we left most of the food behind. That should say enough. And please STOP putting these so-called β€œspecial items” into the Mixed Mandi when they ruin the entire platter. Customers aren’t paying $49.99 to experiment with pieces of meat that smell so unpleasant they can’t even eat them. Give people fresh, properly cooked, good-quality chicken, kebabs and meat instead. Calling something β€œspecial” doesn’t automatically make it good. Quality matters. Freshness matters. Taste matters

Very disappointing experience. When we sat down, a cleaning cloth was left on the table. We politely informed the staff that it had been forgotten, but instead of addressing it professionally, we were told that they were about to clean it. We had already been asked to stand and wait while the table was being cleaned, so this explanation did not make sense and left a poor impression. The food was even more disappointing. The Veg Manchurian starter was severely undercooked, with the inside almost completely uncooked. It was not enjoyable and raised concerns about food quality and preparation standards. Overall, the service and food quality were both below expectations, making this a very unpleasant dining experience. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.

This thali was honestly a really good experience, especially compared to last time, that was such a letdown. This felt like a complete turnaround. The curries were flavorful and fresh, and I absolutely loved the pickle.Everything felt well balanced and satisfying. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would definitely order this again.

We ordered Andhra chicken curry with garlic naan and goat biryani. The curry and naans were delicious, and the biryani tasted great, though it was served late after a reminder. The highlight was the unlimited dosa served with chicken curry, coconut chutney, peanut chutney, and sambar. The dosa and chicken curry combo was excellent, but the chutneys could be improved. The staff were super friendly and polite, and the ambiance was decent.

The service was a bit slow, but the food was excellent and the staff very welcoming. The paneer lababdar was flavorful, and the garlic naan was delicious. The appetizers- Aloo bajji and Cauliflower 65, were also tasty. Must try their chikko and mango milkshake. They’re amaazing!
